Expected Learning Outcomes

Acquisition of fundamental knowledge relating to the main neurological diseases.

Course Structure

Frontal lessons. If the teaching is given in a mixed or remote way, the necessary changes may be introduced with respect to what was previously stated, in order to comply with the program envisaged and reported in the Syllabus.

Required Prerequisites

Knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the central and peripheral nervous system.

Attendance of Lessons

Mandatory.

  2. Superior cortical functions.
  3. Syndromes of the brainstem.
  4. Neurological examination: cranial nerves.
  5. Neurological examination: motility.
  6. Neurological examination: sensitivity.
  7. Cerebrovascular diseases.
  8. Headache and cranial-facial pains.
  9. Cranio-encephalic traumas.
  10. Dementias.
  11. Parkinson's disease and parkinsonisms.
  12. Hyperkinetic movement disorders.
  13. Epileptic disorders.
  14. Multiple sclerosis.
  15. Myelopathies.
  16. Ataxic syndromes.
  17. Motor neuron diseases.
  18. Neuropathies.
  19. Myopathies.
  20. Diseases of the neuromuscular junction.
