Module 1: Foundations and patient management

  1. Disability and functioning models (ICF framework)
  2. Speech therapy management: assessment, rehabilitation planning, and continuity of care

Module 2: Development and functional bases

  1. Neuromotor developmental milestones
  2. Relationship between posture, motor control, and orofacial functions
  3. Posture and swallowing

Module 3: Swallowing and oral functions

  1. Physiological swallowing across the lifespan
  2. Pediatric dysphagia

Module 4: Developmental conditions

  1. Cerebral palsy: communication and swallowing implications
  2. Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)
  3. Cervicofacial malformations (neck cysts and fistulas)

Module 5: Speech apparatus and voice

  1. Anatomy and physiology of the speech apparatus
  2. Resonance and professional voice (focus on singers)
  3. Temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ)

Module 6: Neurological foundations

  1. Cranial nerve neuropathies and speech therapy implications
  2. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  3. Spinal cord injuries
  4. Stroke: acquired language and swallowing disorders
  5. Multiple sclerosis
  6. Traumatic brain injury
  7. Parkinson’s disease
  8. Cervical dystonia
  9. Dementia and cognitive-communication disorders
