Academic Year 2025/2026 - Teacher: CONCETTA DE PASQUALEExpected Learning Outcomes
The expected learning objectives, according to the Dublin descriptors, are the following:
1. Knowledge and understanding: Knowledge and understanding of the theoretical models of general psychopathology. Understanding of the key concepts of syndromes based on the main signs and symptoms, assessed for each mental disorder, according to current psychiatric nosography. Knowledge and understanding of the general principles of pharmacological and psychotherapeutic therapies, in relation to different mental disorders.
2. Applying knowledge and understanding: Ability to combine learned theoretical and methodological content with the interpretation of clinical cases. Ability to plan treatments and interventions to promote and facilitate the acceptance and inclusion of individuals with mental disabilities in various healthcare and community settings. Ability to use the acquired knowledge to structure rehabilitation projects to promote and support mental health.
3. Making judgements: Acquisition of analytical and critical evaluation skills for identifying psychiatric diagnoses in relation to differential diagnoses, based on the content learned.
4. Communication skills: Ability to communicate acquired knowledge using technical and specialized language. Ability to present a clinical case and describe how to plan a therapeutic rehabilitation program.
5. Learning skills: The frequency to the lessons provides an opportunity for discussion and important educational support. Students must be able to apply their knowledge of the psychiatric content studied and, based on the skills acquired, independently design therapeutic and rehabilitative interventions in various treatment settings.

Attendance of Lessons
Attendance of the lessons is optional, but strongly recommended as the lesson explores the issues related to the topics of the program.
In addition, during the lectures, clinical cases will be presented that allow to acquire in greater depth the concepts of psychopathology reported in the text program.

Oral exam. Elements to be evaluated: relevance of the answers, quality of their contents, ability to connect with other topics within the program, ability to report examples, quality of technical language, and overall expressive ability.
