Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

The theoretical-practical mastery of the course contents will be assessed.

Examples of frequently asked questions and / or exercises

Excel: 60 minutes

Calculate mean, median, standard deviation, maximum and minimum, trend line, line graph, histograms, radar, pie, scatter.

Powerpoint: 60 minutes

1. Create a new presentation by inserting a footer header for all slides with your surname and student number as well as the date.

2. Save the presentation with your last name to your computer desktop.

3. Create the 1st index slide with a uniform orange colored background and title and text layout, inserting your surname, first name and student number in the title. Add a numbered list of 4 points respectively Audiology, Physiology, Anatomy and Informatics which point to the next 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th slides respectively.

4. Create the 2nd slide with a uniform light green background. The slide contains, under the title Audiology, a table of 2 columns and 3 rows with a label at the top, containing the main characteristic for 2 different types of hearing aids. Insert a rectangle at the top left with a link to slide 1.

5. Create the 3rd slide with a uniform light gray background. The slide contains under the title Physiology on the right a 3D exploded pie chart and on the left a bulleted list of 3 points containing various human physiological mechanisms as desired. Insert a hexagon at the top left with a link to slide 1.

6. Create the 4th slide with a uniform light blue background. The slide contains under the title Anatomy on the left a numbered list of 5 different human organs/systems and on the right a photo or image of anatomy. Insert a cylinder at the top left with a link to slide 1.

7. Create the 5th slide with a uniform light yellow background. The slide contains, under the title Computer Science, a pie chart with a breakdown of the various operating systems used (e.g. Windows, Linux, MacOS) with % a vs. Pleasure. Insert a moon at the top left with a link to slide 1.

8. Apply a slow transition effect of your choice to all slides upon mouse click.

Network security

What does the type of advertising that Google offers us depend on?

What is “data mining”?

Do you know any organization that can process and resell your data?

How can you publish your CV to find potential employers?

What is Heartbleed?

How can you protect yourself from spamming?

Artificial intelligence

· Describe some applications of AI in the biomedical field.

· Schematicize and describe the learning mechanism in an artificial neural network.
