Expected Learning Outcomes

1. Knowledge and understanding
Acquisition of knowledge on the fundamental mechanisms of disease, including cellular pathology, inflammation, immunity, temperature alterations, and genetic and neoplastic diseases.

2. Application of knowledge
Ability to apply acquired knowledge to understand pathological processes and to correlate biological mechanisms with clinical manifestations.

3. Autonomy of judgment
Ability to distinguish between physiological and pathological processes and to critically interpret simple pathological conditions.

4. Communication skills
Use of appropriate scientific language to describe and communicate the main pathological processes.

5. Learning skills
Development of independent study skills and the ability to continuously update knowledge on the fundamentals of pathology.

Required Prerequisites

Theoretical knowledge of physiology and the histological structure of cells and tissues.
