1. Knowledge and understanding
basic knowledge of the principles and scope of forensic medicine, with particular reference to the health, ethical and legal implications of the work of a hearing aid specialist;
understanding of the main regulatory references in the field of professional liability, informed consent, professional secrecy, and the protection of individuals and vulnerable groups;
general knowledge of the role of the forensic physician in legal proceedings and in the healthcare system.
2. Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
apply the principles of forensic medicine in daily practice, recognising the ethical and legal implications of one's professional decisions;
correctly manage health documentation and communicate sensitive information in compliance with privacy regulations and professional ethics;
collaborate with other health professionals and the forensic doctor in situations requiring interdisciplinary skills.
3. Independent judgement
critically assess complex professional situations with legal or ethical implications;
discuss operational choices and professional conduct based on principles of responsibility and respect for patient rights with awareness;
recognise and report situations of potential abuse, mistreatment or injury to individuals.
4. Communication skills
communicate medical-legal concepts to patients, colleagues and legal advisors using appropriate language;
participate effectively in interdisciplinary discussions and draft clear, accurate professional documents that comply with current regulations.
5. Learning skills
The student will be able to:
keep up to date independently with regulatory and jurisprudential developments in the healthcare field;
integrate medical-legal skills into the ongoing ethical and professional reflection of their practice;
use scientific and legal sources to guide responsible and evidence-based choices.
