Learning Objectives

• Pharmacology

  To acquire basic elements of mechanisms of drug action, of clinical indications and of pharmacokinetics, as well as basic notions of anti-inflammatory drugs (steroidal and non-steroidal), chemotherapy and antibiotics, cardiovascular pharmacology, neuropsychopharmacology, effects of drug treatments on auditory system.

  Knowledge of the pathophysiological elements of audiological and vestibular diseases

Detailed Course Content

• Pharmacology

  Basic principles of General Pharmacology, Pharmacodynamics, Pharmacokinetics. Anti-inflammatory drugs (steroidal and non-steroidal), chemotherapy and antibiotics, cardiovascular pharmacology, neuropsychopharmacology, effects of drug treatments on auditory system.

• Audiology V

  - administration of notions concerning the pathophysiology of diseases of the outer ear

  - administration of notions concerning the pathophysiology of diseases of the middle ear

  - administration of notions concerning the pathophysiology of diseases of the inner ear

  - administration of notions concerning the pathophysiology of central hearing diseases

  - administration of notions concerning the pathophysiology of vestibular diseases
