Expected Learning Outcomes

1. Knowledge and understanding
Knowledge of the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic evaluation, and basic management principles of major medical emergencies, with particular focus on myocardial infarction, ischemic stroke, pulmonary embolism, and shock.

2. Applying knowledge and understanding
Ability to recognize the signs and symptoms of major time-dependent emergencies and to interpret key clinical and instrumental data for initial diagnostic assessment.

3. Making judgements
Ability to identify critical clinical conditions, assess their severity, and recognize the need for urgent intervention and multidisciplinary management.

4. Communication skills
Ability to clearly and systematically describe emergency clinical scenarios using appropriate medical terminology in healthcare settings.

5. Learning skills
Ability to independently update knowledge on the management of medical emergencies and current guidelines for time-dependent conditions.
