Expected Learning Outcomes

To provide students the skill for a proper anamnestic investigation.

Methodology applied to neurological diagnosis.

Chronopathology of neurological diseases.

To povide students with epidemiological, diagnostic, clinical and therapeutical knowledge on the main neurological disease, including the peripheral nervous system and muskoloskeletal diseases.

To provide students with the basis of neurorehabilitation in neurological diseases.

Course Structure

Frontal instruction.

Required Prerequisites

Knowledege of anatomy and phisiology of central nervous system, periphearl nervous system and muscoloskeletal system.

Detailed Course Content

Brief review of anatomy and phisiology of central nervous system, peripheral nervous system and muscoloskeletal system. Interpretation of neurological signs. Chronopathology of neurological diseases. Cerebrovascular diseases. Inflammatory diseases. Neurodegenerative diseases. Epilepsy. Headache. Diseases of the peripheral nerves. Neuromuscular diseases. Disorders of consciusness. Neurogenic dysphagia. The aphasias.
