Expected Learning Outcomes

1. Knowledge and understanding
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and of the pathophysiological, clinical, and diagnostic aspects of cardiovascular diseases, atherosclerosis, arterial hypertension, metabolic, renal, gastrointestinal, and respiratory diseases.

2. Applying knowledge and understanding
Ability to relate signs and symptoms to underlying pathophysiological mechanisms and to interpret basic clinical data in common internal medicine conditions.

3. Making judgements
Ability to assess essential clinical information, recognize risk factors, and identify conditions requiring further diagnostic evaluation or specialist referral.

4. Communication skills
Ability to use appropriate medical terminology and to clearly and systematically describe the main internal medicine clinical conditions.

5. Learning skills
Ability to independently update and deepen knowledge in internal medicine and in disease prevention and risk factor management.
