Expected Learning Outcomes

Acquisition of knowledge and methodologies regarding nursing care related to the pathology. Learning procedures for the prevention of healthcare-associated infections. Ability to evaluate the individual patient, signs and symptoms of the indicated pathology. The student must be able to formulate a nursing diagnosis with the relevant nursing interventions personalized to the patient. You must be able to approach the patient by establishing positive communication in order to lay the foundations for a therapeutic alliance. You must be able to interface with the other members of the multidisciplinary team to resolve the problems presented by the assisted person.

Course Structure

Frontal lessons (28 hours) with interactive teaching support such as Power Point and principals.

Required Prerequisites

The student must: know the nursing process, have knowledge of anatomy and physiology, have knowledge of internal pathology.

Attendance of Lessons

Attendance is mandatory and cannot be less than 75%. Failure to achieve this level of attendance results in non-admission to the profit check.

Detailed Course Content

Pharmacotherapy. Healthcare-related infections. Nursing care plans related to internal diseases (cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, respiratory, renal, hepatological, endocrinological, oncological).

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

Oral exam. The student will be asked questions about the program provided. The test will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

Not suitable: Poor or lacking knowledge and understanding of the topics; limited analysis and synthesis skills, frequent generalizations of the required contents; inability to use technical language.

18-20: Just sufficient knowledge and understanding of the topics, with obvious imperfections; just sufficient analysis, synthesis and independent judgment skills; poor ability to use technical language.

21-23: Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the topics; sufficient analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to logically and coherently argue the required contents; sufficient ability to use technical language.

24-26: Fair knowledge and understanding of the topics; discrete analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to rigorously argue the required contents; reasonable ability to use technical language.

27-29: Good knowledge and understanding of the topics; good analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to rigorously argue the required contents; good ability to use technical language.

30-30 cum laude: Excellent level of knowledge and understanding of the topics; excellent analytical and synthesis skills with the ability to argue the required contents in a rigorous, innovative and original way; excellent ability to use technical language.
