The student who has completed the emergency medicine course must be able to recognize and promptly deal with pathologies that have an emergency-urgency nature. In this case, the studente must know how to set up a therapeutic and diagnostic work up on general topics such as dyspnoea, chest pain, abdominal pain, etc., examining the various differential diagnoses based on the presentation of symptoms and signs.
Moreover, the student must know the drugs, dosages and dilutions to be used in emergencies. The student must also know how to manage cardiac arrest with the fundamentals of BLS-D and notions of ACLS / ALS.
