Students must learn about and deal with all healthcare situations that have criminal or civil legal implications. They must also be able to provide citizens/patients with information about their rights in relation to their health conditions. At the end of the course, students will have acquired basic knowledge of the medical-legal aspects of healthcare professions, certification activities, and the duties of healthcare professionals towards the law, patients, and the code of ethics.
Students must also be competent in matters relating to the relationship between healthcare professionals and judicial authorities, health authorities, and the obligations concerning the relationship between healthcare professionals and patients.

DEATH, PHENOMENOLOGY, AND LEGISLATION.
