Intended Learning Outcomes (Dublin Descriptors)
1. Knowledge and Understanding
The student will acquire advanced knowledge of the principles of Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) and Evidence-Based Clinical Practice (EBCP) in rehabilitation, including clinical research methodologies, levels of evidence, and criteria for assessing the quality of scientific studies.
2. Applying Knowledge and Understanding
The student will be able to apply the principles of EBM and EBCP to rehabilitation practice by integrating the best available evidence with clinical expertise and patient preferences, in order to plan effective and appropriate interventions.
3. Making Judgements
The student will develop critical appraisal skills in analyzing scientific literature, evaluating the validity, relevance, and applicability of study findings, and supporting evidence-based clinical and organizational decision-making.
4. Communication Skills
The student will be able to clearly and rigorously communicate the results of critical appraisal of scientific evidence to colleagues and other healthcare professionals, contributing to the dissemination of evidence-based practices in rehabilitation settings.
5. Learning Skills
The student will develop autonomous and lifelong learning skills, using advanced tools for literature search and scientific updating, in order to maintain high standards of evidence-based professional practice.
