Learning Objectives

• ENT

  Know the main notions of the mimic muscles rehabilitation, auditory-vestibular apparatus, larynx and trachea.

  - Diagnostic and therapeutic path of facial paralysis

  - Diagnostic and therapeutic path of 'hearing loss

  - Diagnostic and therapeutic path of dysphagia / dysphonia / wheezing

  - Tracheotomy/ostomy surgery and percutaneous. Tracheal cannula. Nursing.

• AUDIOLOGY

  Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology of the external, middle and internal ear and of the central auditory pathways. Classification of hearing loss and vestibulopathy. Rehabilitation, prosthetic, medical and surgical therapy of auditory and vestibular pathologies.

• DISEASES OF THE VISUAL SYSTEM

  The aim of this course is to provide the students with the basic knowledge of eye diseases, in the different physiopathological, clinical and therapeutic aspects.

• AUDIOLOGY

  Deepening of the anatomy and physiology of the auditory and vestibular apparatus Hypoacusias: epidemiology, classification, etiology, risk factors and therapy Neonatal hearing screening Differential diagnosis of vertigo and vestibular rehabilitation Subjective and objective audiometric tests and their interpretation.

  OCULAR ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY. OCULAR SEMIOTICS. VICES OF REFRACTION AND AMBLYOPIA STRABOLOGY PATHOLOGY OF THE ORBIT AND ANNEXES: Exophthalmos - Blepharitis - Conjunctivitis - Dacryocystitis. CORNEAL PATHOLOGY: Keratitis - Keratoconus. PATHOLOGIES OF THE CRYSTALLINE PRIMARY AND SECONDARY GLAUCOMA: Pathophysiology of the hydrodynamics of aqueous humor, diagnosis and therapy of glaucoma. GRAPE DISORDERS: Uveitis PATHOLOGIES OF THE RETINA: Macular degeneration - Local vascular pathology - Retinal detachment - Diabetic retinopathy - Hypertensive retinopathy - Retinopathy of prematurity - other types of retinopathy. TUMOR PATHOLOGIES: melanoma - retinoblastoma EMERGENCIES IN OPHTHALMOLOGY: Foreign bodies - Corneal lesions - Acute retinal damage - Mechanical lesions of the eyeball.
