Giuseppe Alberto Palumbo
Prof. Giuseppe A. Palumbo, M.D., Ph.D., is currently Full Professor of Hematology at the University of Catania, Italy, where he previously held the position of Head of Postgraduate School of Hematology. He is the coauthor of more than 200 papers on peer-reviewed journals on various hematological disease biology and clinical management. Prof. Palumbo is a member of the Italian Society of Hematology (SIE) and the Italian Society of Experimental Hematology (SIES). He is also a regional coordinator (Sicily) of FISiM (Fondazione Italiana Sindromi Mielodisplastiche), an active member of the Biological Committee of the Italian Foundation on Lymphomas (FIL), member of the Scientific Board of AIPaSiM (associazione Italiana Pazienti Sindromi Mielodisplastiche) and participates at the Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphomas and Myeloma (AIL) initiatives. At the time being, Prof. Palumbo is responsible of the Myelodysplastic Syndromes and Myelofibrosis programs at the Hematology Unit, University of Catania.
