Learning Objectives

  • GENERAL AND APPLIED HYGIENE

    The course allows you to have the essential knowledge related to: health protection in living environments (outdoor and indoor environment), relationships between exposure to environmental contaminants and the onset of the main infectious and chronic-degenerative diseases, basic principles of health management, organization and complexity of the National Health Service, clinical risk management and infection prevention rules in the clinical setting.


Course Structure

  • GENERAL AND APPLIED HYGIENE

    Frontal teaching in the classroom with the help of electronic material made available by the teacher.

    If the teaching is given in a mixed or remote way, the necessary changes may be introduced with respect to what was previously stated, in order to respect the program envisaged and reported in the syllabus.

    Definition of hygiene and hygiene objectives. Health promotion. Epidemiology and Prevention of Chronic Degenerative Diseases. Epidemiology and Prevention of Infectious Diseases. Epidemiology and prevention of chemical-physical and biological risks. The risk in a hospital setting. Epidemiology and prevention of hospital infections. The organizational and economic contexts of the National Health Service. The departmental and district organization. The Department of Prevention. General information on environmental risk. Living and working environments. Air pollution. Water pollution. Waste. Noise. Electromagnetic fields (EMC).
