Learning Objectives

  • Neurology

    Acquisition of fundamental knowledge related to the main neurological diseases.

  • DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

    The student must demonstrate to know the physical principles and the main clinical applications of the Diagnostic Imaging methods.

Detailed Course Content

  • Neurology

    References of anatomy of the central and peripheral nervous system. Foundations of neurological examination. Strokes cerebri and other cerebrovascular diseases. Normal and pathological aging. Memory and related disturbances. Dementias. Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders. Demyelinating and dismielinating diseases. Classification and clinical features of epilepsy. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and other motor neuron diseases. Dysphagia in neurological diseases. Aphasias.

  • DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

    Program

    • Radiological Sciences – Origin and nature of radiations employed in medical radiology

    • Conventional Radiology – Digital Radiology

    • Computed Tomography (CT)

    • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

    • Ultrasound
