Expected Learning Outcomes

The course will allow students to learn concepts on clinical risk assessment and epidemiology acquiring skills about  conduction of the literature revisions, meta-analyzes and systematic revisions. Evidence-based medicine will also be deepened and the student will be instructed in the drafting and organization of research projects, training interventions, educational interventions and support for the individual and the community for self-management and control of risk factors and of health problems.

Course Structure

The course includes lectures with the help of powerpoint.

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the programme planned and outlined in the syllabus.

- Certification and accreditation. Clinical risk and its significance
- Evaluative epidemiology
- Literature reviews and PRISMA type revision methodologies
- Systematic reviews and metanalysis, strengths and limits.
- Evidence-based medicine
- Drafting and organization of research projects, training interventions, educational interventions and support for the individual and the community for self-management and control of risk factors and
- Health problems.

Learning Assessment Procedures

Written test aimed at verifying the learning of the various aspects of the topict. Elements to be evaluated: relevance of the answers, quality of their contents, ability to connect with other topics within the program, ability to report examples, quality of technical language, and overall expressive ability.

To guarantee equal opportunities and in compliance with current laws, students can request a meeting in order to plan any compensatory and/or dispensatory measure, according to the educational goals and specific needs.
