Learning Objectives

  • Clinical Psychology and Rehabilitation

    Acquisition of a clinical logic within an intervention model capable of dealing with different contexts and with the questions that arise from these and promotion of a culture of intervention that conditions its exercise, binding it to the dimension of research and modalities of verification and comparison.

  • psychiatry

    Acquisition of theoretical knowledge of general psychopathology. Description of syndromes and subdivision there of according to the psychic functions higher and the main signs and symptoms evaluated for each mental disorder. Description of the major pathogenetic models of psychosomatic illnesses, in particular giving space to stress reactions and its related biological and psychological. Acquisition of the general principles of supportive care drug and psychotherapeutic type.

  • Nursing sciences and neuropsychiatric and rehabilitative techniques

    To provide knowledge on the rehabilitative project, tools and techniques in patients with neurological and/ or mental disability. To acquire skills required to plan and implement preventive and rehabilitative interventions.

Detailed Course Content

  • Clinical Psychology and Rehabilitation

    Acquisition of a psychological theory that allows the application of intervention techniques in the light of a specific theoretical model. In this sense, it will be possible to acquire the knowledge necessary to conduct the phases of observation, exploration, restitution and sharing that operate in the definition and eventual implementation of the intervention, also acquiring the elements of analogy and differentiation that the different demand contexts require. . Critical review of the fundamental concepts relating to psychological intervention. Contextualization of the main theoretical and operational issues, within a clinical psychological approach and in the light of an integrated theoretical perspective. Focus on the initial phase of the intervention. Problems associated with the verification of effectiveness. Content of the training activity - Theoretical prospects of the different models in clinical psychology. -The assessment in clinical psychology. -Psychodiagnostic methods. -Interventions in clinical psychology. -Analysis of psychopathological pictures.

Multistrategy rehabilitation approaches. The interprofessional team in health care. Rehabilitation of awareness and pragmatic communication after brain injury. The holistic-integrated and bottom-up approach. Occupational therapy. Social-work reintegration. Rehabilitation approaches in patients with a vegetative state and of minimal consciousness state. Modulation of cognitive performance through transcranial brain stimulation.
